What This App Does

Family Calendar Agent is a private messaging-based assistant that manages a shared Google Calendar. It only responds to phone numbers that have been manually approved by the system administrator.

Data We Collect

• Phone numbers of users who interact with the service (provided by Twilio)
• Message content sent to the bot for intent parsing
• Conversation history (last 20 messages per user) stored in a database for context
• Calendar event data (titles, times, locations) created through the bot

How We Use It

All data is used solely to process calendar requests and maintain conversation context. Messages are sent to OpenAI for natural language processing. Calendar events are created in Google Calendar.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or distribute any personal data. Data is only sent to:

• OpenAI — for understanding your messages
• Google Calendar API — for managing events
• Supabase — for storing conversation history

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Data Retention

Conversation history is limited to the most recent 20 messages per phone number. Older messages are automatically deleted.

Opt In

Only family members may use this service. Users opt in by texting the keyword START to the system's phone number. This triggers a notification to the system administrator (Sachal Nanda), who must manually approve the request before any messages are sent. Once approved, the user receives a single onboarding message confirming access and explaining how to opt out.

Opt Out

Text STOP at any time to unenroll and stop receiving messages from this service.
