Private Use & Opt-In Consent

This service is strictly for private, personal use within a single family. There is no public sign-up and no open registration. Only family members whose phone numbers have been explicitly approved by the system administrator (Sachal Nanda) are authorized to interact with this service.

To request access, a family member texts the keyword START to the system's dedicated phone number. This triggers an automatic notification to the system administrator containing the requester's phone number. The administrator must actively review and approve each request before the user can interact with the service. No messages are sent to the requesting user until the administrator completes this manual authorization step.

Once approved, the system sends a single onboarding message to the new user confirming their access, describing message frequency, and explaining how to opt out.

Any authorized user may opt out at any time by texting STOP to unenroll from the service.

Service Description

Family Calendar Agent is a private messaging-based assistant that helps manage a shared family Google Calendar. The service is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use.

Messaging

  • The bot sends one reply per request during normal use.
  • Upon enrollment, the bot sends a single onboarding message confirming authorization.
  • Message frequency varies based on your usage. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
  • Text STOP at any time to unenroll and stop receiving messages.
  • Text HELP for assistance.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use this service only for managing personal calendar events. You will not attempt to abuse, overload, or exploit the service.

Disclaimer

This service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The application owner is not responsible for missed events, incorrect calendar entries, or service downtime. Always verify important events directly on your calendar.

Third-Party Services

This application relies on Twilio (messaging), OpenAI (message understanding), Google Calendar (event management), and Supabase (data storage). Your use of this service is also subject to their respective terms.

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
